Description: A journal that records the research and inspiration from our design journey through Samarqand, the birthplace of Babur, the founder of the Mughal Empire. It also has some blank pages for you to personalize with your own ideas!
Design: Each year we create a design collection that tells the story of a particular culture or mythical aspect of a region in the Indian subcontinent or or surrounding areas across Asia. For the year 2014-15, we embarked on a design journey to celebrate the fabled city of Samarqand. At the crossroads of the trade routes for millennia, Samarqand held a fascination for us as the heart of Central Asia where we find the roots of much of India's craft and culture that traveled with Babur, the founder of the Mughal Empire.
