Taxilla Bed
Handblock prints inspired by the Ikats of Central Asia with stylized blooms of the Northwest Frontier.
Ancient Taxila was situated on the crossroads of Central Asia and the Indian subcontinent. Due to its strategic location, Taxila changed hands many times, and was ruled successively by the Persians, Greeks, Mauryans and Kushans. Handblock printed textiles inspired by the handwoven Ikats of Central Asia, juxtaposed with stylized blooms of the Northwest Frontier. Roses, iris, poppies and wildflowers bloom in wild abundance in the meadows of the Swat valley.
