A celebration of the Kalamkari tradition of Machlipatnam, this collection features hand-block prints on elegant silks and cotton silks.
Machlipatnam celebrates the centuries-old unbroken tradition of hand-block printed Kalamkari textiles of the eponymous town on the Coromandel Coast. Machlipatnam was once a world renowned port where the finest textiles were exported. Silhouettes in fine silks and soft cotton silks are decorated with hand-block printed floral and geometric motifs in shades of indigo, tobacco and coral.
